Manhattan Beach-Remodeled Kitchen
/ Introduction

About the project

This renovation in Manhattan Beach involved a complete transformation of the kitchen, living room, and bathrooms, with a focus on enhancing these spaces through custom cabinetry, durable flooring, and energy-efficient appliances. The goal was to create a functional and stylish living environment that aligns with the needs and preferences of the homeowner.

  • The kitchen remodel had a series of necessary components, including upgrading to custom cabinetry as well as having a new kitchen island installed with a dishwasher panel to make everything look consistent. The clients’ desire to relocate a window and integrate a farm sink into the island made for some serious reconfiguration changes. In addition, we completely reconfigured the lighting schematic to supply the remodeled kitchen with more light. We custom-built a hood enclosure and installed a beautiful marble slab for both our countertop and backsplash areas.
  • The master bathroom required new tile installation, a floating bench, a custom vanity with new countertops, and wall-mounted faucets. The client also requested a new soaking tub, frameless glass shower doors and mirrors, open shelving for storage, and upgraded plumbing fixtures.

Living Room

For the living room remodel, we created a unique, Spanish-inspired design with custom arches that frame the space and the fireplace area. A custom-built furniture piece was designed to fit the unique openings on both sides of the fireplace. The piece includes 1.25” thick cabinet doors with a custom flute design and a wood veneer countertop that matches the island stain finish. Portola Plaster accentuates the arches and shelves, and LED recessed lighting enhances the room’s ambiance.

Kitchen

The Copa Coast Oak engineered wood flooring from the Bel Air Playa Grande collection sets a warm, inviting tone. It complements the bespoke 3-tone shaker-style cabinetry, crafted from solid maple and MDF, and the stunning custom-built solid rift white oak island. Royal Stone‘s marble countertops and backsplash slabs further elevate the kitchen’s luxurious appeal. Pantry cabinets feature heavy-duty pull-out shelves for convenient storage, while two tower cabinets sit atop a beautiful marble countertop for appliance storage. Soft-closing hardware enhances the doors, drawers, and pull-out shelves. The addition of a cast-iron farm sink enhances both functionality and style. This kitchen design combines beauty and practicality in a space that is both sophisticated and highly functional.

Bathroom

For this bathroom remodel, we focused on creating a spacious and elegant environment. In the master bathroom, large 32”x32” tiles were used to enhance the sense of space, complemented by a linear shower drain with a tile insert. The high-end double sink custom vanity, crafted from solid rift white oak with a fluted design, features soft-closing hardware and a makeup area. Wall-mounted faucets and frameless mirrors add a modern touch. The porcelain slabs for the countertops, with their book-matched veins and integrated sink, create a seamless look, while the floating bench and step heading into the shower tie the design together. A 68”x33” soaking tub and Brizo Luxe Gold fixtures add elegance. The hallway bathroom features Brizo Matte Black fixtures, a floating countertop with an integrated sink, and Calacatta Paonazzo marble. The handmade feel of the 2.5”x10” ceramic wall tiles, paired with 18”x36” porcelain floor tiles, creates a striking contrast and adds character to the space.
